Impact of Organized Crime on Society
While organized crime in the United States was on the rise this led to an increase of crimes and violence. Bank robberies, murders, and massacres all took place because of the mobsters. Organized crime negatively effected most people in the areas it was taking place. The only people that were benefitting from these crimes were the people committing them. They were making money but alcohol was being illegally given to people and many murders were taking place.
Organized crime had an impact on the country that still lasts today. It still takes place but just in different forms. Alcohol can be purchased legally at the age of 21 so the mob is not making money off that anymore, but robberies and murders still take place. Organized crime has negatively impacted the country as a whole but still continues to happen because there are wants for money and power. It isn’t as much as a problem as it used to be but it still takes place.
